ATHABASCA HEIFER CO-OPERATIVE
Athabasca Heifer Co-Operative was established in 1996 in partnership with Farm Credit Canada. Our program gives farmers and ranchers a simple and efficient way to access funds in order to build their herd. We offer our members financing for home-raised or purchased bred heifers, bred cows, cow-calf pairs and feeder cattle.
FCC worked with us to develop flexible financing to meet your needs. The Co-op offers competitive fixed and variable interest rates and financing for up to 100 percent of the purchase price based on commercial values. Loans are secured through a combination of the livestock being purchased and a pooled security deposit.
Our “ONE BRAND FITS ALL” cattle financing is a program designed for cattle producers, by cattle producers. The utilization of one brand for all classes of cattle, allows for animals to move freely between the programs, without the need for re-branding.

All cattle must be branded at time of financing.
All offspring must be branded by July 15th. In lieu of branding calves, member can choose to make annual payment by the July 15th deadline.
